Good Shepherd Thoroughbreds LLC buys, nurtures, and develops a specific type of Thoroughbred horse. The horses are then resold as racing or broodmare prospects. The customer base is international and these horses are used to fuel an international horse racing industry.
We are located in the heart of North America’s thoroughbred industry- the upper bluegrass region of KY. The geography and climate of this area is world renown for providing optimal growing conditions for young Thoroughbreds and is officially the “Horse Capital of the World.” The majority of North America’s finest horses and farms are located here as well as some of the industry’s best supportive arms. We are situated between the ‘Worlds Most Legendary Racetrack’ Churchill Downs, and Keeneland, the ‘Global Market Place’ for Thoroughbreds and the world’s largest and most prestigious Thoroughbred auction company.
